Baby Scout Cute Troop

Here's our little scout. This is a new outfit that Nate got for Christmas from grandparents. He loves looking at the little moose on the patch. We couldn't help but take a gazillion pictures of him tonight.

Addicted to Shoes!

Nate is starting to walk so I took him shoe shopping last week (how did our baby get old enough to start walking!?!). Nate was excited to see the shoes on the shelf and signed "shoes". He wasn't so sure about the lady putting them on his feet. However, once we put the shoes back up on the shelf, he would start to fuss and even cry. This continued in every store we went to. He really wanted to just hold them. Unfortunately, Nate went home shoeless that day. I finally able to find him a pair of church shoes the next day, even though they are a little to big for him to wear now. We put them on him and helped him walk around a bit. Nate was enthralled with his new shoes. We took them off and let him play with them. He played with his beloved shoes for about an hour that day! We'll see how long they stay on once we find a pair that fits him. :)

My Socks!

This is how Nate likes to wear his socks - off of his feet and on the floor. He actually ended up going to bed with them on one night. When I checked on him in the morning, this is where they were; outside of his crib. Poor Grandma B-she can't stand to see little Nate with bare feet, especially in the winter. :)

Nate Prepares for Christmas!

Christmas this year was super fun with Nate! He learned how to say, "Ho Ho Ho" and tried to say, "Merry Christmas" which usually turned out as "Maaaaaa". Every morning, Nate would crawl out to the living room really quick and start signing "tree" until I turned on the lights. As I tried to straighten out the ribbon to put on the tree, Nate jumped right in to help me. He did not like Santa too much at the church Christmas party, but we had to get a picture anyway. Nate got to go to the library and see Santa and Mrs. Clause. He loved to watch them; from a distance. :) On Christmas day, Nate stole the bows off of all of our presents. His favorite present was a plastic insert from one of his packages. Go figure! He pushed the piece of plastic around for forever and then would swing it around in the air. His second favorite present was a mini bottle of apple juice that we put in his stocking. We had to hide it when he wasn't looking so he would open the rest of his presents. What a fun little boy! We're already excited for next Christmas with him.

Thanks for the presents everybody!

Wow - Nate was really spoiled with lots of fun gifts on his big day. Thanks so much everyone. He loves his new toys, clothes, books and treats.

Nate's 1st Birthday!

Nate loved his birthday cake and the frosting, but he wasn't sure what to do with his sticky fingers! :) He loves stars and starfish from his favorite books, so that's the theme we chose. We can't believe he's already 1! What a fun party!

Nate & Aunt Penny

It's the night before my second surgery and since I don't know any better, I'm in a great mood. All smiles and nose rubs and hugs. By the way, I really like cheese!
